Pet Detective Bug

I've encountered a bug in the pet detective quest. My log says talk to Bronco the Kid but everytime I talk to him the quest doesn't progress. He just says his normal everyday stuff and thats it. The quest does mark him out to talk to but as I said nothing happens when I do.

You have to go to door in Blue moon knock and give the password from the letter.

I'm on that quest right now, done the first part with Bronco arriving in town and pestering/accusing everyone, got letter next day and went to his hotel room, talked to pets and then Bronco again, so far no bug.

I'm already past that part. I'm at the end of the quest. I can't turn it in after i talked to the pets.

Only thing I can suggest in wait for a patch, is to load a previous save that was made before the Pet Detective quest and do it all over, with a bit of luck you manage to complete it.

Same problem as well. I assumed it was because I did not humor Bronco's idiocy and instead just fed the pets without "talking" to them, but I haven't tried loading a previous save to try again just yet.

If you are able to come back to moment before talking to pets... Take dog food and fishes. Go to talk with a dog and Deputy Capitan. After that go to Banjo and resign from talking with him at very beginning of dialogue (option which is like.. "its stupid, im not doing it") and that should let you progress

Hope they patch this soon, stuck at the same point in the quest line

The problem has been known for a year and still not fixed? Sad.
