chromium. Where do I find it?

I have stumbled across a few while mining but I'm wondering what the secret is to getting more. What am i looking for? I read in someones guide that chromium is the teal patches in Gecko ruins. That is not true. The teal is manganese ore.

You can find it in the later/higher numbered levels of Gecko Station Ruins. I can't exactly recall from what level, but probably somewhere from 7 upwards. The ore is red in colour.

Gecko Station, the orange crystal outcroppings and the orange patches of rock.

Nevermind, it seems it has been added since I posted. Now it's everywhere. I was previously getting one or two in my bags while mining and it was very rare. Now i see tons of crystals to mine. Thanks for the responses.

It becomes more common as you go deeper in Gecko Station.

I had mined top to bottom a few times and didn't see any. Now I'm seeing an insane amount. They must have changed something. But I'm happy now. I'm getting lots. Problem solved.
