I guess part of it as well is that I feel a bit silly in a game like this making relationships and using the date mechanic in which you can end up seeing your characters face more and wondering if the marriage candidate thinks I have a problem... XD
However, we're very open to this, if most of you don't like it, we'll try to find a better way. So, let us know your ideas, eyebags, stay up late penalty.....etc, anything related to the sleeping or stamina, looking forward to your opinions.
I know some use pass out as an emergency way to get home when stuck rather than loose the whole day's progress, though that doesn't seem to be intended game design. A choice might be an option though, you can pass out now and wake up at home with however much stamina, or choose to stay up and accept the penalties of lost stamina and faster draining stamina. IRL most people don't pass out from pulling a single all nighter but certainly do have less energy from it. Which gives me another idea. Just pass out on the second night in a row at whatever hour being up.
But if nothing else, no eye bags. That's more a penalty on the player, having to look at it, than a penalty on the character, like stamina drain is.
Also, after playing a bit longer, the eye bags make the characters look like drug addicts, especially at some angles and in certain lighting. It's a really bad look. I don't really want my character looking more and more like a meth-head every day. Take a look at this feature one more time, devs. If you're adamant that it stays in for some reason, it absolutely needs to be optional. Make it a toggle and be done with it.
I like panda eyes, quite realistic to be honest) Maybe add some recipe for some cucumber eye mask (as an example)? Which needs to be crafted, of course. That is, which cannot be obtained straight away, but over time it will be possible to save yourself from bruises under the eyes
And let's say you need to sleep normally at least once a week, otherwise the mask will stop helping you
"Visible effects of tiredness: Yes/no"
If you turned it off, the character could still be yawning, lacking stamina and complaining a bit, it just wouldn't be visible on the model.
