Recruitable Mercenaries

Does anyone know how many mercs in the world you can get and how? I found 3 so far. Smiley in fleatown if you finish his short quest siding with him, Pierre is a multi step process I recommend googling it (I haven't done it yet) and Larry by finding the shot and clearing the first mainland outpost. He has two forms like the original sober you need to send him to rehab at a hospital after recruiting him, under the influence is his initial state

Flay can be recruited from the poacher quest

Where the hell do I find Flay?

Technically, there are five. Larry(give him meds), Pierre(Spare him, then save him), Smiley(side with him), Flay(90+ int check) and HUGE STORY SPOILER Spike Scallion, at very end of the game.

To find Flay - get quest to find him, then look for 3 dead smugglers in the savannah, around smugglers camp.

To add. You can detox Larry after "curing him" for stat boost. Flay is bad as recruited, needs some heavy agility training to be useful. But damn his banter with MD, rofl. (they are on my B-team)

I feel robbed that you can't recruit The Beast after clearing that section of the map.

i have to say i only picked up larry because the others are narratively so harsh to recruit. its not like ja2 where you get a bunch jsut for helpign the resistance, which is a feel good moment. like all of them are delusional, i guess pierre is okay but i really couldnt hire flay or support smiley lol. anyone have pierre and smileys stats so i can look at the chars?

Smiley was a delusional moron and Blaubert gives you more quests after if you side with him, I'll go the other way next time
