But yes using a weak weapon against a STRONG enemy will likely not go that great...
that makes Snipers so much better, cause they are pretty much guaranteed to one hit kill, at least where I'm at in the game.
My MPs on the other side do damage on the range of 19-35 including the bonus and headshots, which is not a kill and sets off the enemies.
From what I've seen there aren't stronger MPs than the UZI or MP5, unless you mean that MPs are weak in general.
Its not about the weapon , its about attacking un aware targets ..
this. silenced weapons are only for STAYING in stealth once you kill something. you can easily stealth kill with any pistol. what you need to do is increase your chance to stealth kill.
-high agility (to reduce detection).
-special side item mod on gun
-traits and perks that boost stealth kills specifically. when you get a stealth kill, the damage numbers show in GOLD on screen, and your counter for stealth kills will go up on your statistics page. if numbers are red, it was not a stealth kill.
But technically even the MP40 on single shot could kill any enemy not immune to stealth kills.
From a pure mechanical point of view, Kalyna with her Silenced Dragunov (which is kinda silly if you stop to think about it... Nothing silent about the real steel version of that thing.) outperforms Mouse by a clearly noticeable margin.
An argument can be made that the benefits of the MP5 is that I can use it in more cramped urban environments, and get stealth kills in zones where it is harder to find a good sniping spot. Which is true, but even so... The scale still clearly favors the Silenced SR over the Silenced MP...
By the way, I found a neat way to do stealth kills on groups of 2 enemies. You need two stealthy mercs, on you move into shot range, one you give the order to do a knife kill and send the move order, then switch back to the other, pre-aim your shot and time clicking on the head to be in sync with the knife takedown of the other merc.
She also has a silence dragonuv for long range sniping.
Mouse is a stealth god.
As has been said, stealth kills seem to be entirely seperate from the inflicted damage and depend on stats, perks, and gear. I've had them happen on a single grazing 9mm hit.
