No mail from IMP?
I've just started the game, hired 3 mercs and just landed at the island, doing the first tutorial area.

In JA2 you got the IMP mail from the start but there is no such mail in my inbox here in JA3. Will it come later here or have I missed something? I want to restart if I missed creating my IMP.

You can still create your imp (login on the website). AS for the mail. It seems to be bugged. I restarted my game once and then the mail was there, even when I had already created an IMP.

you missed it, but you will get another chance a bit into the game. I would restart so you can have TWO custom mercs. you make your custom merc as soon as you start the game.

Yes but the imp requires a log in, which I don't have. Tried using the XEP625 from JA2 but it didn't work, plus the IMP site requires a login and I just can't type anything at all there, thought I'd type my PC email (boss@wadever) but I couldn't type anything.

You just press login. its typed in automatically.

The mail will probably arrive later (did for me after like a week ingame time) but you can access the website right from the start. If you are on the A.I.M. database screen where you hire mercs, look at the top of the screen, there should be a I.M.P. Web tab. If you click on it, it will take you to the page and you can create your own merc (the access code will be pre-filled, so you dont have to wait for the mail)

You will get a mail AFTER you created your merc.
It is not working the same like in JA2.
You can immediately go to the IMP site, click on login without a password and then either select to answer questions to build your character OR immediately create him/her by selecting their look, stats and perks.

Ah, thanks for all the answers, just replayed JA2 so how that works was stuck in my mind and made me overthink this :) It worked now.
