how do i get more ammo, guns, where are the online stores or at least in town stores for weapons and such?

Guns and ammo you can loot from enemies and whatever you find on maps. For guns I feel there are too much anyway. I just crap most guns that I find because I don't have the inventory for it and no need for so much weapons. Ammo you can also craft yourself as long as you have spare parts.

Oh yes indeed.
When I first entered the market in Fleatown I was more than a little bit disappointed that the "arms dealer" was just a couple of loot-spots with one-time deals that you could click or not. Then, the next disappointment: Grandma Chiappo's (?) Gun Shop in Port Cacao offered more of the same!
Seriously, I don't like this gameplay feature. And I really hate that I can turn "all-purpose scrap" into any kind of high-tech attachment for my guns.

It was so much better when we could order stuff from Bobby Ray's.
Of course, at the beginning of a game he only offered shotgun chokes and toolboxes, but it was always such a treat when I could send someone to the Drassen airport to pick up a new shipment of cool stuff. Hollow point ammo, a new scope, a silencer - it was always like christmas! I would like that feeling back, please.

It's gone, along with most of the other stuff from JA2 that made it such a classic game.

oh we craft ammo? I had no idea....I have AKs I like but im all out of ammo lol....I had no idea I am supposed to craft it...

and you need someone with high skill in explosives.

Crafting ammo is not really a viable replacement for being able to buy it and have it shipped to you. It takes way too long and relies on parts and gun powder, neither of which you are likely swimming in. That said if you are trying to supply one gun, sure crafting is fine. Supply a squad? Two squads? I have 50K and a positive balance sheet but I only have 1 full squad because NFW I could supply ammo to 12 mercs.

Even if we can't get a 'Bobby Ray's' this game could use a 'black market' for used parts, spare ammo, or other gear. I miss the idea of ordering parts, picking them up at the airport, and bringing them to the front line in an ice cream truck. And what's to say that once we liberate a town that we could put them to work making ammo? I mean, just look at some third world countries, and we're supposed to 'feel good' about ourselves for exploiting this game for diamond mining? Why not an exchange of sorts, that allows for resupply operations?

Who am I kidding? I just miss a lot of the features and gameplay of JA2, and was hopeful that after all of these years, JA3 would carry on in a similar vein.

Bobby Rays will come with update 1.3. There are also some mods which are including ways to buy stuff. My own mod GC-Militia has an online shop included.

There is a mod for the time that gives you something similar. Bobby Ray is coming in an update.
