My favorite is hearing Steroid talk ♥♥♥♥ about Igor constantly whenever he makes a good shot and Grizzly making fun of Dr. Q lol
Otherwise yeah, I don't know if there's a 'cooldown' on them being mad at you or not. My initial run, I couldn't even hire Fidel because he was trying to blow up some kids or something.
i like nails but i see he has that psycho perk too...which will lead to the same ♥♥♥♥ which i had with fidel...maybe its time to give red a try never had him either.
I mean, with a good weapon and a perk you can get nearly 100% stealth kill chance, but sometimes it doesn't work. That's why she gets a 2nd chance to shoot enemies before they engage in real combat and alert everyone else, Fox is OP.
Barry and Buns are super cost-efficient, but it feels like they fall off over time.
Barrys custom charges are downright broken at the beginning (and trivialise a lot of pretty difficult encounters), but as long as you have him somewhere on the map, he will produce them either way. Doesn't matter who throws them. Whether you use Barry tactically or not doesn't even matter. The charges alone are worth the money twice over!
Buns is a good dedicated marksman, but the requirement to activate the passive makes her just average at being a proper sniper, especially for stealth kills.
Both are way too cheap for what they do though. No question. I think any efficiency first guide that doesn't list those 2 as must have for the first merc draft, should be rewritten.
Barry is the only explosive guy you ever need until you have too much explosive then you can try a second explosive guy but what's the point when you can just use sniper rifle on everyone.
Fox and Mouse have both way worse marksmanship and it's noticable. Buns with a customised G98 will do the same those 2 do, but with over twice the range.
I hired him with rather short contract time and was busy with my other squad(s) fighting far away so he really was only involved in 1 fight before I wanted to extend his contract and instead training militia to use the time waiting for the squad to join him. So now that the fighting actually started I wanted to extend his contract with like 2-3 days left and got the message that he is bored and won't sign the contract (which made sense). So I had 2-3 missions where I tried to use him as much as possible. Got a lot of grenade action and kills with him, still he wouldn't want to extend the contract. It kind of felt like a bug because the "call" didn't even really start, it just showed the message of denial (like the game wouldn't refresh that he got the kills now). Frustrated I decided to hire Shadow instead because I needed some replacement. To my surprise, when Fidel actually wanted to leave because his contract ended, he suddenly was willing to extend it and I happily could give him 2 weeks more of work. (wanted to hire Shadow anyway, just a bit later).
Since other players said it didn't help to get him kills and the interface reacted strangely it could be that there is a bug with refreshing his status until you hire another merc or just wait until he wants to leave (but I guess most people tried that). If so it could also help to reload when you fail to extend the contract and do some kills first with him before trying to extend the contract.
I thought they left in on the sector they left at?
