Mods are destroyed and you are choked on your already limited parts pool.
This game is so full of stacking against the players, choking mechanics like these and enemy AI cheats.
It is so glaringly obvious on many parts that there is just a wall of artificial difficulty created.
The crafting/modding system is a joke so far. A rifle gives 10 parts on scrapping but a single muzzle brake needs 25 and it is a "hard" mod to install so about 75% chance to fail on "crafting" it, consuming the 25 parts and damage the gun itself just because trololol.
Another bad thing is the modded guns dont drop more parts and components when scrapped so you end up with a "golden toilet" paper if you fully moded any gun.
I will take 100 % of the time a suppressor for 1000 credits instead of a pipe that could disapear if you look at it the wrong way.
The game is balanced around limited resources, if you could fully slavage mods, then there would be no question about modding up every gun you find as you'd have 100's of unused parts.
And the party inventory can already be limited enough where would you stash the extra mods, poor horders would have bags full of mods, or stashes in towns with nothing but mods
yeah. I discovered this just now. I hope this gets changed in a patch. But, at least now I know.
there ya go, ya big babies ;)
agree 100%
First of all... You can produce every attachment from beginning of the game. (OP as ♥♥♥♥)
If you could deattach it from weapon you would have almost unlimited scrabs.
It would be way better if you would have to find those attachments and not build scopes and laserpointers out of scrabs
Indeed, they should be loot items as in JA2
+1
It would indeed be much better for both gameplay balane and immersion if the mods were loot items, even if rare, that you could freely swap from weapon to weapon. I get that you can't swap a FAMAS stock to an AK, but it makes little sense why an Aimpoint breaks apart when detaching it from the gun.
This is not even remotely a solution to the request. No one asked for infinite free weapon mods, which is what this would enable. No one said getting weapon mods should be free.
They can be craftable as it or become entirely non-craftable, but they shouldn't break apart when attaching or detaching. It makes no sense that you can't take a scope off a rifle or that it breaks when you try to attach it.
