Lucky Veinard treasure.

Schliemann picked up the trail, reached the piles of earth and that was it.... When I try to interact with him, Veinard says it looks like the treasure is somewhere nearby. But there's nothing nearby. The only treasure found is on the other side of the map under a tree that Veinard himself tells about if you ask him long enough. + there's another one a little further away. What is the treasure that Schliemann found or is it a bug?

If you ask long enough Veinard tells about a tree. In the O menu you see two possible treasure locations. One tree is on the west a few steps south of Veinard the other one is on the east. For me the treasure (a bronze mask worth 3000$) was at the tree on the east.

Yes, these are the two treasures I found, having previously tortured Veinard for a long time. But...then you can torture Schliemann's chicken and it starts to follow the trail and stops at a pile of earth not far away. And Veinard says that Schliemann has picked up the trail and there's a treasure somewhere. But it's right at the "beginning" where they were standing. And those two treasures (by the tree and a little aside) at the other end of it...yes Schliemann took the trail AFTER those treasures were dug up by me. I don't understand if there is more treasure or it's a script inconsistency and Schliemann had to find the second treasure (not by the tree Veinard said).

Oppa...found the "Altar Stone", and I can say that BEFORE the conversation and going after Schliemann on the trail none of the mercenaries saw him! But this stone was territorially found in the far corner of the map and not where Schliemann stopped!

Had the same Problem. The quest goes on in different Sectors. im now in J11. Lucky Veinard and his chicken are here too.

Okay, so it seems like this is a quest with the Following Steps
1) Talk to Lucky Veinard and Schlieman a lot (in J11, possibly after meeting them in L8)
2) Check out the Book at the Central Altar
3) Do something with the southernmost Sacrifice Altar (Requires Strength >78, tried with Barry and Failed)
4) ???

Let me know if you get past the Strength Check.
The book seems to imply you need to sacrifice an animal here but that might be very wrong

I was able to perform a successful Strength Check with Ivan:

He pushes the altar aside and reveals a chest containing another mask.

Theres about 6-7 locations you can meet him and his magic chicken..tho i think you only need to find treasures at 5..some tho have multiple treasures in the same area

Just going to bring it up in case people aren't aware, but do NOT sell the heritage items, someone else wants them, though it may be more cash from selling them, but they are unique treasures.

Yeah but between the items and the tiny diamonds and a couple chipped sapphires it fills an entire merc inventory :(

Chicken doesn't help but Veinard gives a clue about the tree. There are two trees on H7 - to the east north (with a treasure) and to the south from Veinard. The latter does not have a treasure, but if you go east from there there's another idol in the pit, so 2 treasures total.

No! There 3 treasures at this map. But even after finding all three, Veinard's chicken keeps saying the chicken took the trail. That's the point. And it's very confusing!

1.Under the tree.
2. In the excavation pit.
3. Under the stone (altar?) just to the right across the path directly from the Excavation Pit. There you need strengh as far as I remember now to lift it. If not strengh and I'm wrong, then definitely high Intelligence.
