squad questions
1. Can you have more than 4 in a squad?
2. Can you combine squads, say a 3 man and 1 man squad?
3. Can you share supplies/weapons/etc between squads?
4. Can members of one squad heal members in a different squad?

Thanks for the help! Enjoying the game so far. Like the vibe. Like being in an expendables movie.

Uhhh...You can have 6 in a squad?

You can manage squads in the...manage squads button.

You share supplies by having a squad drop items into shared stash, select other squad and pick up new items.

Don't know foor the fourth thing.

4. Wouldn't that be great? Never need to go to hospital or visit the doctors again.

What a ridiculous response, which has no relevance to the question asked. Considering that members of the same squad can heal each other, it isn't such a ridiculous question.

Yeah my bad, but it was not obvious or implied that he meant when they were in the same sector. I rarely imagine there being 2 squads in the same sector so I jumped to the conclusion he meant in different sectors, which would require some kind of fancy remote healing.
I shall 'obviously' facepalm also.

From what it looks like to me you can have as many squads as you want with 6 members max in each. In the operation menu or manage squad menu if your squads are in the same sector they can heal each other, train, fix each others equipment, trade equipment, move members etc. If actually in the zone you'll control all the characters in each squad if you so choose during combat or out of it by hitting their logo. You can do any combo of members you want from 1-6.

Is this still unknows? Instead of making life easier, squad supplies just make it harder to distribute ammunition and parts between sqads.

you can doctor or train everyone in a sector, no matter what squad they're in

3. share stuff - somewhat, with extensive fiddling with the gui. moving mercs around moves a portion of the squad supplies with him. imagine the chaos...
4. heal/train/scout - yes. repair - no. no. no!!! see above

I'm trying to combine 2 squads using the manage squads screen, but if I drag a merc from one to another nothing happens.. why?

Yes, standard max size is 6

Of course, just drag & drop in the Squad Management window under the Command button

3. Can you share supplies/weapons/etc between squads?
Between 2 different squads so they can use both squad supplies at the same time you mean? No. You can send stacks of items and weapons to other squads in the same sector though, just right click and choose Give to Squad.

4. Can members of one squad heal members in a different squad?
When they are in the same sector they should be able to, I think.

Yes to all if they are all in the same Sector.
You can even Fight the enemy with more then 1 Squad for that go in the option and turn on Pause when you give a Squad a move Order so you can give multiple Squad the order to move on an enemy and when the fight start all Squads that are in the Enemy Sector will then Fight. Is a good way to attack the enemy from different sides when they outnumber you heavy
