I get that its the 80's and we don't have amazon prime yet, but still.
Maybe I just haven't progressed far enough for them.
but you do get "Shops", just not the way you are used to it. Basicly what you get is a Flea Market how it would be in RL. Some Stuff lies at the "Store Window" which u van purchase.
Stuff which is sellable you can instantly sell from Inventory, everything else is meant to be used for Crafting/Equiping.
lol thats not how it would be in rl.. mercs have connections they have arms and ways to buy things without needing the local goods.. wym
before someone jumps on me for saying it, I'm just saying what merc outfit doesn't have outside connections?
They do, and maybe its possible to get that in the Game aswell, its very likely, since we got the Websites IG for it. But the Local Merchants and Vendors, dont opperate this Way.
Aside from that, most Mercs nowadays Work either for Illegal Institutions or for Professionel Armys and in Warzones where this Organisations operate and got a network. JA never got into that Territory, you are always in a backwater drop dead land without basicly any infrastructure your Mercs could use. HECK you didnt even got a lot of Intel, which for Modern Standart is absolut shaming.
That was exactly what I meant. It feels odd to send in a team underequipped for the job if you have the money. Not a dealbreaker certainly. But would be nice to at least get proper starter gear for my merc.
Especially since the game doesn't let you grab all your dead enemies weapons.
No steady ammo supply, not to mention grenades, no body armor other than scratch part from dead enemy. No weapon upgrades and I'm still using basically the same weapon as the first 2 or 3 maps.
But as Bobby Ray's is out of business, there are no means to limit combat drops.
Sadly at this point JA3 looks like re-skin of X-Com.
No weapon vendors, shared ammo inventory(WTF?), weird HP system, weird stealth mechanic, weird combat initiation.
yeah makes no sense at all for people who are earning their money with this equipment to just bring a handgun with you and a knife. I personally would take whatever I got to get a higher chance to survive. This is just pure BS and unrealistic
