7.62 OTAN ammo?

I have many 7.62 soviet ammo, but none from otan. And all sniper guns (low level) use this ammo.

The only way would be to control a square with craft place and build them here?

Looks like nobody care or the translation is ultra weird because I failed find anything in the forum when searching the title.

One other thing to check if you’re keeping ammo in the squad supplies is that ammo (and other stuff) gets split when you move mercs to a new squad. I ‘lost’ a bunch of ammo until I reformed the squad and realized what had happened.

I browse all map corners for find all loot, and still missed so many loot that I didn't found any of those ammo?

don't know about everyone else, but I have around 280 7.62 Nato standard rounds and around 120 of the other kinds in total (but in smaller numbers, of course).

Hell, I have over 500 rounds of 5.56 nato since I don't use those.

BUT, I've noticed a hell of a lot of "Help, I can't find X consumable in the game" threads popping up.

I think a lot of people just haven't figured out how to play the game effectively yet.

Either people are storming in and firing full-auto constantly with all their mercs armed with the same caliber guns, or they are ignoring all the herbs they find and then wondering why they're running out of meds, or they're complaining about not being able to sell all the guns they find and not figuring out that scrapping them is the best thing you can do because parts is basically gold in this game.

Give it a week or so and people will get to terms with how you need to play this game.

Took me a few hours to figure out some of the stuff myself, like how you can convert standard ammo into specialized ammo using parts and standard ammo. No need to skimp on the armor piercing or match ammo any more. Just need to get those sweet-sweet parts.

I'd like to add this in my tipsnand tricks thread.

Sure, first of all you have to be in one of those towns where you can do that (repair icons on the sector, I think), like in the town of Ernie.

Then you go into Operations, scroll down and select craft ammo.

Pick who you want to craft the ammo with.

Then you just pick the ammo you want to craft and off you go.

(the cost is listed when you hover over the item. Like for example, 7.62 Nato Match will cost you 10 parts and 30 Nato standard ammo, and will give you 30 Nato match ammo)

Ahh, sorry I misunderstood you then. I thought you were somehow combining items and ammo in your inventory to create new ammo.
But I'll have to add this anyway as it seems to asked a lot.

Also, you can craft ammo in the island town? I completely missed that...wtf.

I am just taking the 1st mainland town and I have a ton of 9mm and 7.62x39. I have enough 7.62x51 to fuel a pair of K98s and either an M14 or a Galil. I got a FAMAS as a reward for clearing the island and I literally have not found a single 5.56x45 cartridge.

Just wait until you're present at an enemy attack on a sector that you have militia in... they tend to drop 5.56 (and FAMAS) when they die... and they die *a lot*.

Well I need conquer a sector with a crafting workshop, and I'm lacking of time.

Moreover some player quoted that it seems a broken mechanic in current version with mostly no material to craft ammo. For explosives you have a NPC that will do it without the specific material.

It's unfortunate a player had a trick but related to a sector he named shore but never bothered locate it, the game has ton of shores lol.

You also need a decent crafter. I think it's using exposives skill, because my high mech was not in the list.

Yeah, one thing that the JA games always seem to get wrong is the sniper rifles being great at short range too.

They really shouldn't. Unless they have backup iron sights and the ability to use them without removing the scope, a sniper rifle should be more difficult to use at shorter ranges than most other guns.

Almost inundated with ammo. (so no problem with that)
But there is a shortage of medical equipment.
