while in game, press esc and you'll see the option
I created this post because you can not add files with the bug report system in the game and just System&Treiber infos would help you in optimizing the performance of JE3 or? if there are problems I can also delete this post again
it would be good of course if files attach to the bug report in the game or will send all the important info what the user's PC is concerned?
Greetings from Germany
[GER] Tobi
GTX1660Ti (6Gb)
1080p Resolution
VSYNC: OFF
High Preset: 40FPS
High Preset with Reflections turned down to 'medium': 70FPS
with FSR2 and Ultra Quality: 80FPS
I limit the FPS with the in game FPS limiter to 60FPS and the GPU is at about 70% load while playing the game. It's not getting very hot, I would say normal temperature (60-70C).
I noticed that shadows and reflections have a huge impact on performance. The same I noticed with VSYNC which also lowers performance for no apparent reason.
that would be good to know in the official forum of JE3 have opened the same post so you get the best feedback from JE3 players regarding the performance so games can use the bug report tool or Discord, Steam or the forum I would love to continue playing JE3 but not if my RTX 2080TI is as loud as a hair dryer and that permanently

Shadows, Textures, Reflections: Medium
Everything else maxed
Constant 144 fps (capped with vsync)
I play on a 6700XT, everything set to high except textures which are on Ultra. I am pretty steady at 60FPS and the game plays smooth. My GPU doesn't break a sweat.
I have mentioned this in other threads and will continue to do so as I think people are underestimating air flow - especially with the planet being as hot as it is today: Check your airflow.
It’s easy to blame the game, and it definitely is possible that Haemimont needs to optimize in some areas, but from what I am reading, most people complaining haven’t got a clue about how their PC is handling the heat. Or even what settings their cards can handle.
The room in which you game is likely warmer than it was in previous years due to climate change. This means that your PC sucks in warmer air, which means that it cools less efficiently. Do not underestimate this.
The trend today is to build PCs that are pretty. Cooling solutions have become part of the looks. That doesn’t have to hurt efficiency, but sometimes it does. And many PC manufacturers are more worried about their margins than about your cooling. That includes case manufacturers - the fish-tank trend comes to mind. Lastly, a lot of PC builders (even professionals) don’t really have a clue what they are doing. Just filling all the appropriate places of your case with fans doesn’t mean that they have been installed properly. Proper air flow // flows \\. Air is sucked in at a good pace, and blown out at at least the same pace. For this to work, fan orientation is super important.
If the airflow is not sufficient, then your GPU can only release its heat into already hot air, which is inefficient. If the air in the case cannot absorb the heat and transport it out of the case, your GPUs fans will have to work harder. When it reaches its danger zone, it will start throttling, causing severe performance issues.
Start figuring this out by holding your hand where the air comes out. Usually at the back or at the top. It’s ok if it is a bit warmer than your room temperature. If it is a lot warmer, there is probably something wrong.

Works perfect for me, no glitches, all looks fine.

the game seems to be poorly optimized. the fans on my 4080 spin way too high, the graphics card gets way too loud. this only occurs with this game. with a 60fps lock i can throttle the noise a bit.
