because lazy and $$$
EDIT: I just took a quick look at the files and it looks like they're using a custom engine instead of the usual Unity or Unreal, so I guess it's a little bit more forgivable if that's the case. It's nice to see someone not use those for a change.
Let's imagine the game had Red Dead Redemption level "animations" when someone gets hit or dies.
I already had a spot in the 3rd sector where 3 opponents were in a pile, all in exactly the same way.
But let's be realistic. It's probably too late for changes now.
Stop calling smaller companies like these "lazy"... they're not AAA sized companies with hundreds of staff.
Haemimont has 60 employees, AFAIK.
It's not lazy, it's having to manage the few resources you have.
It might be that since loot is tied to the bodies, we need to be able to reach the bodies, and in testing it showed that sometimes the bodies would fly into places you can't reach?
Something like that?
stop crawling into devs "backwards" as you seem to look for a job....
It´s my opinion and you have to life with that.
There are other "small" companies that can do much more so what´s the excuse ?
Which other "small" companies make perfect games without any bugs or flaws.
Go on, I'll wait. Make a list.
I think the "ragdoll" deaths are actually animations...
EDIT: I uploaded a video of it here:
