Addict Larry couldn't help me with Biff, had to shoot him in the back.
Anyways, the Pessimist trait is not much of a downside (and Optimist is not much of a benefit either) by the time you can rehabilitate Larry, because you should have at least one sharpshooter with Inspiring Strike anyway and it makes managing morale quite effortless.
Unfortunately, that perk goes bye-bye when he becomes addicted again.
Danger close, Loner and optimist become his perks.
However, if you get him back to rehab _again_ he gets that perk back.
