Can't talk to npc

I can't talk to Martha, anyone knows a workaround?

First time visiting Ernie village?

Did you do anything that may have caused this, or have mods enabled?

No mods, first time visiting after going through all the areas around Ernie, saving the man in the minefield

go defeat the fort
when you come back her quest triggers the next stage

Ok, so, you kinda skipped the part where she gives you the quest to go save her man in the minefield area...

So there's no reason to talk to her. Is she perhaps standing next to Herman while the other 2 guys are arguing?

Or if you resolved that already, just talk to Herman and they'll leave Ernie.

i just happenned to find out that you can get the quest to find her husband for her
but i always found him before i went to her wich obviously skips her

tbh might be worth getting rid of her speech bubble in that state to not confuse players
especially since its on tutorial island meaning people find her before they know huge amounts about the game

I guess the devs just expected the players to go to Ernie village first.
