His special is useless due to low AP.
IMO, 'Roid is best with a shotgun and the best armour you can get him, then the out of cover grit perk, since reacting to flanks and being able to shoot after is unlikely, opt to shoot, inflict exposed and finish up with other mercs. Think of him as offensive support.
Also his huge inventory means he's a good mule but to be honest any weapon that has low aim bonus and doesn't require a tonne of movement (machine guns for example) is a good fit.
right now the best thing i can do with him is a rage build with grenade launchers & rpgs but that's after agi and explosive training and not care about his special ability.
a breach & clear, grenadier, melee build sounds good coz you can punch or use his special when his hands are holding grenades and throwables but again needs alot of agi training and your melee is just fists DX
Sadly, his unique in this game is borderline useless. His ability doesn't even produce enough meds to heal a single wound if you hire him for a week.
It's not a healing item, it's a preemptive buff for use in melee, grit damage is basically temp HP that when lost doesn't cause wounds, he's really a melee sneeker first and medic second in JA3. (nice leadership for a non-leader too)
Thor is one of the best charactes in JA3. His unique perk produces pills which are incredibly useful because they improve a merc energy level by one. In other words, you can cure the tired status with it, which means that you are now much more flexible when it comes to managing fatigue. And the best part about it is that it's an item, which means that Thor can give his benefits to another team, acting as a pseudo-7th member. And since he's also one of the few mercs with a good Leadership score, that makes him one of the best leaders for a second team.
He is just a walking gym&steroid meme.
Yes Biff, you too.
