Bug with point-blank and auto-5

I had a mission pop up to have Mouse score 2 kills at point blank range. For some reason, she can't achieve this using the auto-5 shotgun. I had to have her use a different weapon - knives in this case.

Point blank is 4 tiles and below.

If you get some somewhat hard personal objective to complete you can always load the game before entering combat map, it will randomize the objective or there will be no objective at all

I had her eliminate an enemy from one tile diagonal from her with the auto-5. It still didn't trigger. Then I had her throw a knife from about 3 tiles away - that worked.

MAybe the game is on the point, that a point-blank shot with a shotgun is a little bid silly ;) (Shot gun is not shooting at one point ^^)

I'm guessing you missed that the guaranteed damage killed it?
if it's a hit then it's probably a bug.
