Hidden Enemy Movement
I’m in a particular end game underground and my gameplay has slowed to a crawl because of the *constant hidden enemy movement*. Why is this a thing? Can’t they stay in place until I have revealed them? From my perspective they are just shuffling around and I am left waiting up to a minute or longer to move my troops an inch closer. It has made the game’s pace slow to a crawl and has me wanting to play the game less. For context, this is the secret underground that is previously inaccessible until later in the game. Iykyk.

It just depends on the AI behavior in my experience. They won't move if there's no reason for them to move. In other words, they will wait if you make the situation so there's nothing else for them to do.

I also have the impression that they are simply teleported from origin to destination if completely out of detection, instead of having their all movements animated even when out of view, but I'm not entirely sure if that's the case.

I just chewed devs ass on this in bug report. I spent 30 minutes running around prison map looking for hidden enemy and circled it twice and there isnt one (or i cant get to him because he's behind a gate i cant open).

so this archaic mechanic that sucked back then and DEFINITELY HAD TO HAVE BEEN FIXED OR ADJUSTED is still runing our time, and yet they TOOK AWAY THE FREE MOVEMENT AFTER TWO TURN BASED MODS OF NO ENEMIES PRESENT.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bravo devs, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bravo. You owe just me personally 30 minutes of time imagine that multiplied by user base.

im downloading kill all enemies mod as we speak.

The prison is indeed little wonky... The enemies couldn't open any doors and had to be prodded really hard to make them exit the rooms even when a route was available. Nothing a little C-4 won't fix and it was pretty much the only place where I experienced truly bad AI pathing behavior.
