We should be able to mount them on waist-high cover and windows.

Especially when they have a bipod; being forced to go prone out of cover to have an effective firing angle is silly, and the pre-set entrenched machine gun nests (like the ones on the tutorial island) show that they already have the coding for firing an "unpacked" machine gun.

Not only machineguns should automatically mounted at windows or waist high obstacles, also assault and sniperrifles should receive their bipod bonus when there is a place to position them in crouched stance. In case of higher obstacles the programm should also decide when its possible to mount a weapon in standing stance

just met this not a small issue. low cover should be used for deployment and accuracy bonus.

Yeah even in movies / series they mount the LMG's ontop of sand bags, i mean why not here

Yes, and setting up bipods should be an action that costs AP, no matter the weapon. Otherwise every ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the army would run around with bipodded assault rifles.

Guess that is kinda incorporated in going prone. (Bipods don't function when standing!)

i wonder, if i should keep bothering, to point things out, as they are so many and clearly show a sloppy job. im losing morale from this game
speaking of machine guns, mg42 handles for 4ap, as fast as a handgun.
Anyone know if this has changed? A lot of patches since the original post.

Pretty sure it's not been changed. Really silly but your guys will unload their whole clip into a slightly raised edge on a terrace.

I didn’t check in the very last mini patch.

But in my last playthrough, I couldn’t fire LMGs from the first floor terrace of a house because of this.
I'm surprised, with how reactive they seem to community feedback. Is there a better place to raise the issue?

Be careful what you wish for. Don't be making things worse for yourself. LMG is already so OP. If they fix LMG, next they will have to nerf LMG like in Battlefield 3 & 4. Haha, they're going to nerf Lis one-shot rocket in Battlefield 2042.

Ehh, when I can't deploy something the way I would, I end up using a different weapon anyway. So whether it's one reason or the other...
