K9 Cocoa ports assault bug

So I'm having a problem with this assault. I get an event where the enemy is assaulting K9, and I bring my 2 squads there ahead of time to wait for it.

I already convinced the whole coffee bean gang to join granny to fight the assault with me.

However, when they arrive and the I get asked to deploy my guys, I deploy them then the game does something weird. I can't select any of my guys or control them, and the bad guys just walk casually into the port passing my soldiers point blank and combat never initiates. the game just hangs like this and I can't do anything except load or exit.

you will have to load a game just before. fight worked perfectly for me, except for the fact 2 of the gang died to friendly fire and the loyalty in the port dropped. AI is not the sharpest.

must be a bug, it played out like a standard militia fight with mercs present for me

can you reload a save from before you talked to anyone, or just let the battle happen without you and retake the sector

in the long run these side quests dont matter

lol, sorry you had that experience. The core gameplay is just a clone of wasteland, don't expect too much.

sorry to hear that you've encountered a bug. If you haven't already, can you please report it via the in-game bug reporter? (press ESC while in gameplay, select "Bug Report", fill out the form and send it off)

I was frustrated with the actions of the "Old Gang" as well (I spent most of the battle-time to safe the "Clutter" ^^]...
Yet, is it AI or is it the game mirroring the fact that we trusted in hiring very old people (with very in-scrupulous habits in the past, if you listen to the town folks) to help as out... and they just kept their manners from old days... which are quite peculiar? *hihi*

I encountered a similar bug in the fleatown, or the town next to it with the chruch guy selling and buying diamonds. A story related fight broke out and each time the fight go to the civilians turn, it would just stay there, and everyone would just be walking around like a gun fight aint in progress, like bullets wasnt just flying around just seconds ago.

Fortunate for me, I restarted my computer and the fight seemed to work for me after several reloads did nothing to resolve the issue.
