UI Disappears

Anyone else have an issue where the overlay UI disappears. If hit escape to bring up menu and escape to close it it shows up but as soon as you click something disappears again. You can’t select stance or command or anything from the bottom portion along with can not end turn either.

This also appears to be tied to Nic dialogue as it does not show when talking to an npc.

I though I just have hit a button to clear the ui, but I have not found any setting that changes the issue, even the one about exploration mode.

I did submit an ingame report, but the odd thing the screenshot it made shows everything even though ingame it is not there.

I've just encountered this as well, not sure if it's a result of tabbing/clicking out of the fullscreen window or not. Edit: I've tried exiting the game and launching again, loading a previous save where the UI was present... no change.

I ended up reloading an older save - a sectorenter save for the area - and the UI was restored. Those in an iron man run won't have the same luxury.

While using hotkeys is an option, losing all UI aspects and the information they provide is game-ending, in my opinion.

Please try using Shift + Y to see if that brings back the UI you are missing. If not, try verifying game files (close game, right click game in Steam > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files).

I'm having this same issue. Shift + Y and verifying game files did nothing for me.

It affects everything. Merc portraits and everything along the bottom in the tactical view are gone. Not just that, though, on screen text from NPC interactions is gone. Basically everything that would get overlayed.

In that case, please report it via the in-game bug reporting tool, if you haven't already.
To do so, press ESC while in gameplay and select "Bug Report", then fill out the form and send it off. Thanks.

I have an issue if I use Take All on a sector stash with too much stuff. Screen goes black. Hitting ESC or M will bring it back but the UI is gone and you can't play the game. You can F5 quick save though and then tab out and close the game and then start it again and select continue and everything is fine.

I reported in game. I just did a clean install and it's doing the same thing. Save file related possibly?

*Update - I loaded up a save from ten game days ago which has the UI intact. When I load up the newer saves the UI is missing. So it is indeed some issue with the save file. I guess I can just replay those ten game days and hope for the issue to not happen again.

Same issue here.
Character portraits, toolbar and any other overlays (looting items, interacting with NPC, damage and effect indications) are gone. Restarting an earlier save/scenario, restarting the game, restarting windows did not resolve it. Happend to me in Port Cacao L8.

Game ending bug for me. Same thing, not sure if its from the new patch Just started a fresh game and it started doing it again on Ernie Island. I hope they fix it soon.

Can confirm, Shift + I works to hide and unhide UI. Those of you who encountered this issue, please try it.
