Spoilers: Perfect ending

Spoilers ahead:

After beating the game a couple of times now, i think i had the best outcome slides:


President survived - Colonel dead
Pierre was recruited and survived - Emma likes him - Legion disbanded by Pierre
Major was hired - and exiled
Green Gem in the Museum
Landsbach: Siegfried defeated
Virus: Completely contained + Dr. Kronenberg got posthumous medal for her research
Corazon crushed in court (4 proofs against her)

Is there any quest that could have done better? Pierre dying + Major surviving might result in a different end, or maybe both dead, but the president alive?

I really love the lot of ending varieties the game offers and had a good laugh at Biffs actions if he gets to keep the gem.
Its just a bit sad that many other places and choices do not get a proper ending slider as well. The Voodoo stuff and the Beast, or the Good Place, Eliot etc had deserved some mentioning at least too.

president alive is pretty easy.
clear the map (military wise) as much as you want (except ernie island obviously), start your assault on A20 with only 1 shield (spawning assault squad just left), which cuts down the enemies to ~10-12(?).
make a hard save, sneak up to the tent as far as you can (beyond the first climb (that´s 2 spotlight enemies and possibly 1 roaming enemy)), then 4-5 enemies + spike wait.
if you´re close enough, they will ignore the president and come to you / your overwatches.

also i dont know about siegfrieds long term plans, but him getting ze diesel for ze ubersoldaten might be a good thing in the long run.

failed to give the green diamond to the museum, but the "you have it in your inventory-ending" is pretty good too.

Oh, i missed that. I didn't even think about keeping it for myself. Next time it will be mine.

no idea what the "donated the green diamond" ending slide is, but from a "i like money" perspective, keeping it to the end is worth it and since this fictional country is so much of a sh*thole, it´s argueably the better ending for the common people of sh*thole country as well... at least as long as they dont want to sell overpriced child-labour "home of the green diamond" t-shirts.

sent smiley home, kept blaubert in charge. no mentioning of this.
current run there won´t be no blaubert and no luigi (but an overworked smiley), but i doubt it will get mentioned.

maybe theres a blauberg / luigi ending slide if you place enough remote explosives to flatten half the sector... probably not but it´s worth a shot.

i had 4 proofs against corazon but still didn't crushed her and wasn't accused of war crimes...i collected all possible proofs from refugee camp. Even had the achievemnt when i hacked the colonel computer.

pick "give me the truth"
and dont mention "its not about the money"

it seems you'll get the neutral ending if you pick "i need information" and or "its not about the money"

I think I found the worst possible ending, it was horrible. The only thing that went right was that when I crossed the streams to defeat Zuul, the protonic reversal was merely localized and not total. Who knew doing the quests was so important?

Also, the Museum. I gave every single artifact I found to Emma, and the quest about convincing the governor to support a museum never progressed. Not sure what's going on there. Also she leaves after the refugee camp, so do you just not have the option to turn in artifacts?

Yes you can! If you have Larry and Smiley in your team, as Biff's MERC comrades, they will convince him to give you the Green Diamond

non addicted larry is enough when talking to biff. smiley is not required.
not sure if an addicted larry + smiley works (probably)
not sure if only smiley works (probably)
(from memory) addicted larry & no smiley gives you the "has something to say" option but doesnt actually say anything, thus killing biff is your only option then. basically addicted larry doesnt work.

You can prevent Emma from leaving after Refugee Camp incident. You just need to protect her from the attacking army squad, AKA do not lose the sector she is in. Have a squad ready to fight off the invaders. It is best to stop the army in the docks where you have other allies beside your militia. Regardless, she will leave if you clear the Major's sector.

The Hermit can give another proof. You must clear the abandoned mansion in Fleatown, and the proof is kept by the ghost butler IE you must reunite him with the hermit to get the proof.

i can recommend defending I20 for the biggest impact, however this has nothing to do with emma or any other quest.
