Everyone who watched some 1980s action movies also knows how to turn a shoelace and a handgrenade into a boobie trap.
If anything it should be the DEX to hit and STR for the throwing range.
Also, gief back pebbles for distraction
and throwing grenades precisely where you want is harder than you think
and in combat situation, i assume it would be more difficult to do that
but yeah, as a game mechanic, i dont understand why this mishap even exist
and why the EXP affect this? it should've been DEX that affect mishap chance
'The game is a simulation that stays very close to it's predecessor' ? i'm confused
In JA2, low explosive skill does not cause you to throw your grenade at yourself or your allies like in JA3.
One great example is Sidney, who in JA2 was a throwing expert. He was a good grenadier despite 14 explosives skill because explosives skill wasn't relevant.
In JA3, Sidney cannot reliably throw grenades because for some reason this legendary merc who was previously an expert thrower is no longer able to even throw a grenade well due to his 14 explosives.
Doesn't make sense. Let mercs do merc stuff and throw grenades.
