Militia Training in D11 and G10

I was watching some random JA3 videos and I noticed that they have militia garrison on sectors D11 and G10, sectors where I can't train them.

Those two sectors seems to be a hotbed of assault by the enemies (well at least for my game), so I have to garrison like 4 cheap/non paid mercs there on D11, so I'm surprised on the videos they have militias on them.

Is this a beta feature that was removed on release? Or mod?

No mods installed btw.

I haven't been able to make use of this option yet, but I know (read: I have heard/read) that Emma in Port Cacao can mobilize militia units for you to be *deployed* on the map, rather than having to train them locally.

If they really can be deployed anywhere, my guess is the players in those videos may have opted to send these reinforcements to the sectors you mentioned?

D11 you cant but i have not done all sidequests so theres probably something i missed.

if you mean D10 & G10 you can train militia on outposts. the legion usually capture those 1st if there are no obstacles in the way coz outpost spawns patrols.

however this is an older save before the patch so dunno.

you give your treasures (relics like mask & tiger statues. not diamonds, not gold bars) to the president's daughter she can send 4 militia as a reward to a town you selected. im not sure if it includes outposts. you dont have to use this right away

Seems be only towns, in dialog you just get a name and it will target all sectors of the town. But not all towns are concerned.

Option 1: Defend D11 with mercs. While waiting to intercept enemy or diamond shipment, you can use the spare time to train mercs to improve their marksmanship, agility or whatever skills.

Option 2: Defend D10 & G10 with mercs and militia. I've got Bravo squad helping to defend G10. And Charlie squad helping to defend D10. Bravo is also stockpiling supplies, magazines and ammo purchased from nearby Fleetown. Charlie is defending D10 just to milk the enemy Rocketman for their dropped rocket loot. I fought in D11 a few times, and no rocketman ever spawns there in my battles.

Those locations are good early chokepoints, however i don't know why you want the bridge at D11, you can just camp D10 and G10 for the same result, that will block almost all enemy attacks from getting further into the territory. Where are other choke points too, those are F13 (with trainable millitia) - that one blocks all traffic from the east side of the map because everything that goes from there passes this location.

Another choke point is El-morah - D17, you can set up millitia there and clear all legion outposts over the map, this will allow you to stall any legion activity and do questing at your leasure, because once all outposts and mines are captured only eagle's nest at A20 will still produces raid parties and the only way for them to get out from the top right area is through D17. This place is the best choke point in the game in fact.

You can just go to D17 ASAP and lock legion there by placing millitia and free mercs if you have those, now just go on outpost clearing spree with your squad and clear them all at once. You don't even need to train militia anywhere else because nothing will be left to attack you afterwards. After that you will have all time in the world to do quests, mine diamonds, produce ammo & explosives, whatever. Just do not touch refuge camp until you want to re-awaken the map.

That's hardly D11 which is bridge of mud (Pont de la Vase).

But I don't see what's this "Camp La Barrière".

EDIT:
Ok camp la barrière is G10, never quoted Emma could send milita in forts, only quoted for towns, but in forts you can train militia.

Sorry, the screenshot of Emma is to give some context to the question. Is it pot luck lottery RNG system? You donate artifact, and Emma will offer another random outpost/town location? Or is there a set list of outpost/town locations?

No it's not lotery, you get all locations where she can send militia that isn't already full of militia. Those location are a subset of locations where you can train militia.

In G11 you can't, in some location it seems she won't offer send militia.

And as a reminder she send 4, each is use too add a Recruit or level up a recruit to Veteran. Moreover some spots as towns cover multiple sectors and the 4 militia are spread on them.
