Very low FPS--Suggestions?
This is a first for me, it's been years since I ever had a game lag or stutter. I know I don't have the best processor but I'm also not running a potato?
My PC is
i5-10400
Two Firecuda in Raid 0
128GB ram
RTX 3060

I'm getting about 10-15 FPS and lots of sound stutter. Like I said I play lots of games and this is the first where I have run into serious lag.

Turned off my AV, Disabled backups. Loaded the latest Nvidia driver and still the same, I'm really surprised, I'll report this in game but wow. Weird.

For example just to make sure I wasn't running into problems with my machine I loaded Green Hell and cranked up all the settings then sprinted through heavy jungle...my frame rate was at worst 42.

This game is pretty GPU intensive, as much as CP2077, with my 7900xtx at ultrawide 1440p I have around 100fps, so no surprise it's 20fps on a 3060 at 4k
And you may lack VRAM at such high resolution
Play at 1080p

Are you by chance playing at 4k and using DLSS and didnt set the Resolution scale below 100%?
Originally: Yes, No, No.
I did some tinkering. Switched to 1080p resolution and the game is playable. So...the games automatic recs are not so good.

Lower the reflections and shadows settings to medium and you'll probably get from playable to smooth. I recommend playing with the different DLSS settings too.

i have to say running a 3060 with a 4k screen is spicy. if you wanna get into tuning your games i recommend installing msi afterburner/rivatuner statistics server and displaying gpu/cpu load. for cpu you have to look at how many cores the game uses and how high they go, you can be bottlnecked with around 90% on some cpus. gpu load is simple to look at. also look at your vram load. e.g. it is likely the game requires too much vram in 4k which completely tanks your fps. generally many games requires over 8gigs of vram to load 4k textures, if you try it will either crash or become a stuttery mess. it is also likely that some of the post processing settings wont fly with your setup and might even overburden your cpu. but yeah look at resolution first and then at settings like shadows, reflections, volumetric fog/lighting, texture quality, draw distance (not sure whats even in their settings).

and about performance. i would recommend 4k only on a 4080 or 7900xtx. i run a 6900xt and a 1440p screen and also a 4k tv as secondary. i dont expect to hit 4k without upscaling and with 60 min fps on new games anymore. it is good for some games. so i would classify a 3060 as a 1080p card and a 1440p card for 'esports' type games, which generally run on anything.

Dont expect the same graphics you get from other games, ja3 is fairly unoptimized graphically. Downtuning shadows and reflections as other posters mentioned are likely to help

Fog is also pretty taxing, dunno if it can't be lessened

I usually had 90-144 fps on my rig, but it's a 3080.

You sure your hardware is running fine?

DIaled down the settings to 1080p, stepped up graphics to ultra (well aside from vsync) and everything...after the 3rd reload has a framerate of 30 to ~150 fps in this game.
Other games the frames are way, way, way higher. Like I said this is the first game I ever had problems.
I'm good though for now. :)
