Just don't use Fidel, Larry (sober or not) and Barry are fine as Demo-Experts, Wolf and Fauda can at least spot mines (but not always disarm them)..., Nails is another option but i think he won't join when you have Raider and Red won't join when you have Buns..., and he is slow af too.
I found Barry and Larry are actually more than enough in the Demolitions Department.
Yes. And you could also add Meltdown and Fauda on the list, when it comes to using heavy weapons.
Fidel is a fun lad to bring for one or gigs, but the days just seem to go by so fast.
Most mercs have some non-synergistic traits or perks, it's not just Fidel, possibly to give the player some more options instead of only cookie-cutter builds. I don't really know how Hand-to-Hand works when not actually using melee weapons of your own, but I guess it's just an unarmed attack? He has pretty low dex though. And at least he has decent perk choices, but the real challenge is managing to keep him in your team to begin with.
