Army attacks full force
I am halfway through the game (i think) and just survived the metting with the colonel at the refugee camp. Which was supposed to be a meeting with Corazon (Conspiracy quets?). Now turning back to the strategic map i see army attacks at all major places at the same time. I this unavoidable? The something to be done to postpone or prevent this? Only clue i have is that some kind of evidence must be found. But the army appears way to strong to take back all the places the recaptured. Any help / suggestiosn? I know i will find the answers in other discussion topics but do not get a simple or straight solution to this.

unavoidable, just don't go to refugee camp or close to major camp. it will stay there

It's a one time attack designed to take all your stuff and put you on the defense.

Your job: Hold the line, and then re-take what you have lost.

Got to Ernie island last, it's super brutal.

Also, if the army squads manage to take Port Cacao and town, you will fail the museum quest (if active) cause the person responsible for the museum quest has to flee.

But if I avoid going there is there a way to finish the game?

yeah can ignore refugee till way later in game and before you go to the last sector top right, forgot how many squares it was but if you ignore the top 3x3 you should be good without triggering it as well.

If you don't go there it will happen on a timer basis.
Or it will happen when you too close to the president sector.
(as I read in some other thread, not experienced it myself).

I think there's a date where the refugee camp event trigger but i don't remember when specifically, but you can delay indefinitely to visit the refugee camp and roam around the map.

I read this too. The 31st of august was mentionend, but in my game it happens at 2nd of october.

Might be after certain days have passed in-game

it better to trigger it early to get better gear. No point delaying.

But delaying does have consequences in terms of people dying the the camp right? When I got there, many month after I was "invited" there, everybody was gassed.

No, the outcome is the same. The same with the Biff rescue mission. As long as you intercept the squad sent to kill Biff he will wait as long as you want. A couple of months after the Biff rescue call (not doing the mission) the refugee camp will be invaded so you should just do the refugee camp quests before then but once you get the call to go to the refugee camp you just don't have to go if you don't want to.

I got the invite to meet this lady there and postponed going there for a few month.
But I did rescue biff before. That triggered the invite I think.

But when would have been the time to actually save (or meet) anyone in the refugee camp? I read somewhere, that there are people there to interact with (a shaman and such?).
When I went, everybody was dead except for the soldiers I had to fight.

If you get the call to meet 'whats her face' at the refugee camp, it's too late to do the other quests there (because they're all dead). If you haven't gotten the call to meet, you're ok to enter the refugee camp without triggering the army take-over. I'd recommend going there before the call so you can get those quests done

Once you get the call, you can completely ignore going there and keep playing as normal. Build up, prepare, and whatnot

The only way to postpone it is to never go to the Refugee Camp after Corazon invites you there and to not come as close as 3 paces to Eagle's Nest (Major's residence). Then you can literally conquer the whole rest of the map and do whatever you want and the army counterattack won't trigger.

Oh man, okay I got that totally backwards then. I did not go near it at all, even before getting the call to meet. So means I lost access to some characters and quests. Damn.
