The game does not start due to graphics error.

Whenever i launch i get error message "failed to initialize graphic subsystem".
I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M which while old does meet the minimal requirements for the game. All other specs on my laptop meet them as well...

I have the same problem on gf gtx 760 old but meets the requirements, Updated the drivers but the problem persists

Do your cards support DX12? Does steam use your physical GPU or the onboard, if not on a laptop. Do you have those problems on other recent games?

I have the same problem with my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti (3 GB VRAM) and driver 474.30 DCH. GPU-Z reports DirectX Support "12 (11_0)". According to the minimum system requirements, it must be a DirectX 12 compatible graphics card with 2 GB of VRAM. Does it fail due to DirectX 12 compatibility?

11_0 - this is real hardware possibility. GPU's that have DX12 "Support", but DX11 feature level, CAN run DX12 application. IF it implemented by developers. As we can see, this game is not about this.

In NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M drivers only go up to 425.31. So updating isn't an option... It does have DirectX 12 though.

Had similar problem with Age of Wanders 4 when it launched, but it got fixed with recent updates.

Sorry to hear you might just be one of those people who have to wait for a patch since you have such an old video card solution. Not to mention it's Integrated. I wish you luck!
