...but if you don't want to play without, there is a mod in the workshop for this purpose.
Have one more question, how we can add mod for game?
Honestly, I fail to see how this game was "developed with no chance in mind" with so many mechanics that doesn't make sense without it. It's nice to see when you char either doesn't say chance at all, or saying - I have a good chance at ~40%
While circle does not show where the bullet will go, it is perfectly possible to miss intended target and hit the guy way behind the targeted enemy. Or hit the civilian that finds himself between yourself and the intended target.
However it is very simplified physics representation, since there is no gravity effect on bullets (granted on ranges presented that is not that much of an issue), damage is area based (you can take a hit to your spine with no issues), bullets have equal energy at the start and at the end of the its trajectory, etc, etc...
Yes but whether you hit or not there is still a hidden percentage that is simply not shown. The game calculates based on the percentage of whether you will hit or not. But yes the bullets if they miss could still hit others including friendly fire.
lol
I mean I get it and I even think it could be cool design but I don't see how to even start guessing when starting with 0 info. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a very advantageous position and my whole squad miss every single shot, even those with maximum "aim".
And I've no clue whether I should change tactics or I just missed a bunch of 80% in a row out of bad luck.
Gonna go try that mod.
This is how I'm feeling as someone who didn't play the previous games. It's not that I'm annoyed by missing shots, it's that the game gives ZERO information to me as to why I did miss, thus I can't adjust tactics or strategy.
At this point, I don't think the lack of any hit chance info is "hardcore," or "unique" or "welcome to JA baby!" It's just awkward.
I'm definitely a person who would rather play the version of the game that the devs intended, so I'm gonna keep plugging way without information before I try the mod. We'll see!
