All or some the enemy uses / carries should drop and nothing else.
Thank you for the info, if this is the case I'll save myself some frustration.
I heard Diablo 4 is pretty decent. Not turn based, but you can pretend it is and loot is there, like everywhere! Oh wait, it's not what the demons are using against you now is it? Oh well... PUBG and Fortnite it is
This is complete nonsense from a gameplay perspective. If the enemy drops everything they have you have maxed out weapons and gear waaay too soon. The whole items and loot part of the game would not work if enemies drop everything. Cant you see that?
Nope, people don't understand there needs to be a middle ground between realism and fun. And they also trash a game before they've played it. I mean, obvious duds are just that and you don't need to spend time knowing you don't like it when it pains you to just watch gameplays, but just the loot system? And instead of the shared ammo pool, the random/fixed generation of available loot? Yeah.
Diablo 4 is a casualized, watered down Action RPG, D1, D2 resurrected is in many ways superior to it.
And it's not like all those Crpgs I really love where mobs also drop what they carry around, next thing you're going to skin a wolf and get lama wool, that doesn't make too much sense to me.
Next step for me is something like JA, after that soon games like Arma in regard of realism.
So I hope that JA isn't going to be casualized too much or I'll just stick to JA2.
In JA the enemies can only drop what they were actually carrying, and you could technically loot it all in unmodded JA2, but you had to work for it. If you knock an enemy out using martial arts, stun grenades, tranquillisers and such, you can strip every item they have.
They could add it as an option, but to balance it they'd need to make those items very quickly lose their value... Or just make it so the locals are too scared to buy stolen army equipment.
And you won't have any counter example or some indies with a broken difficulty or some games with the crap I explain above and just making loot harassing and boring.
However, there is that NPC with the AK. I think if you drop him or talk to him, you get his AK?
But if you killed the dude it was unlikely the rifle dropped... so it works similar in JA3 ... .
What if you just pretended that your head shot went all "magic bullet" and exited the bad guy's skull and ricochets into the AK74 thus rendering it useless...then being the level-headed merc that you are decide to strip the corpse of it's pistol which you will keep in a trophy case as a momento once the war is over and you make it back to your family...I think I'll think of it that way...or you could imagine that the AK is so covered with blood and gore that I would need a kit and 30 minutes to clean the chunks out of it. Take your pick, problem solved. Don't ask to see what kind of shirt and pants they're wearing either the shirt is bloody and they ♥♥♥♥ themselves when you shot them.
