but most content is community made from the plugins tab while in-game and that keeps things fresh so theres that
the game is kinda donde major update wise, tho the comunity is still pumping out mods wich are the main apeal of the game
the reason there are no changes is because the developers dont really have much to change now, thats how games work most of the time
TheoTown originally gained a lot of popularity on mobile platforms, and the developers may have focused more on updating the mobile version. This often happens with games that are initially more successful on mobile, as it's where most of the player base is.
Many mobile games still release updates and new features before the PC version (via Steam). This doesn’t necessarily mean the devs have “given up” on PC; they might just be prioritizing the larger audience on mobile.
2. Possible Shift in Development Focus:
It’s possible the development team has shifted their focus to other projects or platforms, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve abandoned TheoTown altogether. They might still be working on future content or updates for PC, just at a slower pace.
Sometimes smaller indie teams may prioritize updates for one platform over another, depending on where most players are or where the game generates more revenue.
3. Updates and Patch Cycles:
Many indie developers follow a slower update cycle or provide updates less frequently, especially if they’re a small team or if the game is more mature and has fewer major bugs.
TheoTown has a fairly dedicated fanbase, so even if updates aren’t frequent, the devs may be working on quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, or larger content patches in the background.
