How does manual build work?
Tried to search for this, but came up empty.

1. Does the building come with population and produce tax?
2. Can it be replaced by other developing zone buildings?
3. Can it downgrade?
4. Can it upgrade?
5. Does it affect the RCI?
6. As far as the classical simcity model is concerned, the cost of the building was private to the citizens. If I pay to put it down does that mean that I pay maintenance?
7. If I can just lay down an expensive $$$ building, then what's the point of services?
8.I thought the whole point was to actually get those buildings developed by increasing the value of the land (not in game?) i.e by providing services, not the other way around...

1. It works a bit different: When you build a building manually people will move into it as there's demand for it. If there is no demand they will not move into it and it will be abandoned quickly. As you get tax per inhabitant you will only get income if people move into the building.

2.-4. Manually built buildings are untouchable by default meaning that they will not upgrade/be replaced. However, you can change that when tapping on the building.

5. The RCI graph shows demand so by providing space for an existing demand you will lower that demand.

6. The ability to build buildings manually does solely exist to allow players to customize their city (at the beginning of the game this was a hidden feature). You pay for that once.

7. If you build a building but forget about the respective services the building will not be used and abandoned quickly.

8. It depends on how you want to play the game. I prefer to not build them manually.
