Would like it in the next game if you didn't lock the player into an area every time.
Use the Enchant Weapon feat if possible, make your weapons as powerful as possible with enchantments like Blinding. If you have a good archer, craft an arrow of Dragon slaying.
Keep casting Heal with your Cleric. Level 15 should be enough I think.
Apologies if it's still too hard. However I think it's better for a game to be slightly too difficult rather than too easy, as a lot of the enjoyment comes from the challenge IMO.
It's an annoying mechanic. Creates Grinding and wasting the players time.
Can't agree on your comments about limited resting, though. I think that's a great way to create challenge and encourage the player to use resources carefully. But I agree that the player should be warned about such areas in advance.
In any case I will support your next game and play it of course.
