Suggestions/issues
Borderless windowed
Ability to zoom in and out the map
Move the map diagonally
Different look for destroyable blocks. Im standing right next to the dark area where you're supposed to use the bomb the first time, and the blocks i can destroy look exactly like the standard blocks that make up most of the map, yet i cant blow those up.
Controller joystick sensitivity adjusment. It bothers me that i have to 100% push it to the limit everytime i want it to do something
In the room with the corridulum particle, right after the first boss the game lags really badly, for no reason. Restarting the game fixed the lag issue.
Fast travel.
If the 'P' mapicon means 'power' as in a synonym for ability, then it should be removed from the map once the player collects it.
Map is clearly wrong in several places, showing walls that dont exist, or not showing a wall thats there.
Im convinced there are jumps the player can only make if they use the gun as a pogo stick to get more height to their jump, yet the player is never told they can use the revolver to jump higher.
I have reached the bridgezone and cant go anywhere. Two teleporters will take me back to where I've been earlier, for some reason, 3 other teleporters are down.
The minimap in the top right corner is effectively useless
Sometimes the character just doesnt sprint for some reason, i jump once, keep holding sprint and before the second jump it runs out and i do a normal jump? Only sometimes which makes it quite inconsistent
Second major boss, the sheep is BS and i have no clue how to beat it. I like figuring things out for myself but im guessing i need to shoot it enough to get the blobs off it, then hack the blobs to to make them disappear, and the problem is, i have like 0.5 seconds to perform a hack, before the boss gets up again, and i can only get rid of one orb during that time, and has like 15 of these orbs, i hate this
The movement is not very precise and i cannot move little amounts

Hey man! Thanks a lot for your feedback! To sum it up you point out some rough edges the game has for sure, especially with map image and QoL features like fast travel. Would for sure do some things differently if I could start over, but many things are just too complex to be changed at this point. Here come my comments/ questions:

Ability to zoom in and out the map --> That will unfortunately never be possible, due to limits in the (very old) game engine I'm using (no layer-based zooming funktions)

Move the map diagonally --> hmm, that should actually work, at least 8-directions

Controller joystick sensitivity adjusment. It bothers me that i have to 100% push it to the limit everytime i want it to do something --> what gamepad are you using? It's true that the game has a pretty big dead zone of 50% for joysticks, cuz a lot of old gamepads tend to have issues with not being centered and causing ghost inputs. With D-Pad inputs you should be fine, in case that's an opiton. Will add it to the feature list.

Different look for destroyable blocks. Im standing right next to the dark area where you're supposed to use the bomb the first time, and the blocks i can destroy look exactly like the standard blocks that make up most of the map, yet i cant blow those up.
--> yeah, that's by intend tho, cuz players should use Buddy to scan for those blocks

In the room with the corridulum particle, right after the first boss the game lags really badly, for no reason. Restarting the game fixed the lag issue. --> seems like a sync issue, some setups tend to show it for some reasons, unfortunately I've no clear fix for this, you may try fiddling with your GPU settings (see Tech FAQ)

Fast travel. --> you need to reinstall the portal connections between the Wozan villages, this way you can push through the map quite quickly, but it's something that needs time to set up.

If the 'P' mapicon means 'power' as in a synonym for ability, then it should be removed from the map once the player collects it. --> not possible, cuz the whole map is a pre-baked image and map data has no indication of where interactive items should be placed

Map is clearly wrong in several places, showing walls that dont exist, or not showing a wall thats there. --> would need an example, it's strange cuz the map you see here is the actual image from which the game constructs the tile-based layouts. What the map does not show is tiles that are not part of the cave walls, like bridges and artifical stones blocking corridors, that's true.

Im convinced there are jumps the player can only make if they use the gun as a pogo stick to get more height to their jump, yet the player is never told they can use the revolver to jump higher. --> it's a technique for sequence breaks and speedruns, therefore not explained and never needed to progress the intended path. Make sure to also check run-jump a lot.

I have reached the bridgezone and cant go anywhere. Two teleporters will take me back to where I've been earlier, for some reason, 3 other teleporters are down.

edit: seems you've reached the Wozan village, here's how to progress: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1083310/discussions/0/4738295219678781227/

--> after the first boss you can go several ways to progress. Most will just head East and fall into the Cenote area. You can also take a loop into the Corridium mines in the West and grab a weapon there. With this weapo and the pogo stick jump you may even sequence break into the Toxic Swamps which are located North-East of the first boss and grab another useful thing there.

Best, Julian

My controller is an xbox one S. I know about the D-pad, but its not that comfortable, even if its more accurate for this kind of game.

Okay, but then you should tell the player that, since the player is only told about scanning a little after getting the bombs.

Yea, later i realized that fast travel exists actually. Thats on me.

Okay, for an example: After beating the first boss and going up, there's a savepoint, and some token or upgrade. Map shows no wall, yet in the game there are grey stone bricks blocking the path. For another example there is a kind of an X shaped room, not far from the other one i mentioned, and the map shows a wall being there, yet in-game i can just swim from the top left to the bottom right corner, through a 'wall' indicated by the map.

Yea, i figured that was a hidden trick, but then i have no clue how to even get to the bridge zone cause i had to use that jump trick to even get here. Im not talking about length here, so sprint jumping wont do anything. Im talking about pure vertical jumps, along walls where i cant walljump because there isnt a second wall.

As i said, 2 out of the 5 teleporters are active, both will take me back to places I've already been to (and being very close to each other, like whats even the point of having both when they point to the same space effectively?) and the other 3 teleporters are down and i cannot activate them. The mines i dont know how to active, the swamp needs to be activated from the other side, according to the dude, and i cannot get to the other side, and the cenote needs power to be activated, but i dont have the yellow thingy to do that.

I misunderstood where you’re located, look here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1083310/discussions/0/4738295219678781227/ what you need to do is teleport back to the start/ room with the first save spot. Then take the exit East and hack the critter that is flying over the spiky pit. From there you’ll progress to the first main boss👍

Yea, i've been there, but i dont know how to hack. The window shows buddy, and 3 mines, thats not very helpful. I tried pressing random buttons to hack but all i could produce was that computer rectangle slingshot attack

That means you did not collect 3 protocols (the mines you refer to), the slingshot is the hacking beam but you’re still level 0 and therefore it’s not effective. You can scan flickering creatures to determine the level needed to hack them. The thread I linked also has an image link attached where you can spot all 3 locations if the protocols.

Right under the player icon top left HUD you can spot 3 dots that symbolize the protocols needed to collect until Buddy reaches his next hacking level.

Once you reach this spot with hacking level 1, the Mechanic will show up for a tutorial on how to shoot the beam, seems you already figured that out anyway tho^^

Are there 3 protocols in the way, or are secrets required for progression now?

The first one is located top left in the room with the first save spot. The second one can be reached directly after the first miniboss by taking the upper gate in the room after the boss. The third one is hidden in the Wozan village inside a wall, but visible if you look around with Buddy. After having 3, just go to the spiky pit with the Buddy billboard you’ve already discovered👍

It's a challenging game by design and should be respected and mastered. HINT: Play with a friend on Co-Op mode!
