Secret room near Buluc boss

I found a room under Buluc boss with some switches inside. I read on forums that it is used to make Buluc weaker but honestly I see no way to enter it and no boxes to activate switches. Can someone help please.

There is a bombable tile hidden inside the lava, scan the floor with Buddy! You need to enter the lava in Homunculus (morphball) form. The entrance won’t be available in boss rush mode though!

Okay, fine, I was actually trying to do It in Boss Rush. Was hoping to make it a bit easier.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I just started playing this game this week. I really love it. Also I'm playing on Xbox. Anyway, I found this area after I defeated the boss. Just to verify, this area is pointless after the boss's defeat, correct? The switches don't seem to do anything.

Thanks for playing^^ Yes, the switches are pointless after defeating Buluc and only there for tweaking the boss in case players cannot manage him regulary.
