What are you talking about?
Did you completely miss this part?

EDIT March 25th, as posted in a reply: I decided to add two extra quests, the new area really needed them. The new content is already playable but there's plenty of small details still to work on, such as itemization to adjust, a few new abilities and spells needing new code, etc.
Unless something happens, I should have the beta released in less than two weeks.

It say that the beta should be released in around 2 weeks after March 25.
And to my calculations, that only is next week, so the update is still within the timeframe provided in the last update.

So it isn't late and there also has been info provided just a week and a half ago.
I'm not sure what more you are expecting.

People want their lollipops and ice cream, and they WANT IT NOW!

I've explained it many times, I work with estimates, not deadlines. If I decide it's good to spend an extra day in adding a new NPC or dialogue, I'll do it. And it happens often.

What I can promise is to work night and day on the game, which I do. Each of these big updates are longer than many "complete games" out there, so it's no wonder they take months to be released.

yeah, everyone knows that the devs are always too busy stealing other people's wives and emptying their fridges, then going home to swim in their pools full of cash... all this rather than getting the updates out, what a shame :D
Patience, let him cook. This is a gourmet quality game. David's delivered greatness in the past updates.
Show some respect please as David has so much on his shoulders. Just because he sets a date doesn’t mean he will deliver it by then. It’s more so as a goal he has set for himself.

These things take as long as they take.

You know I woke this morning with my wife gone and an empty fridge... David?

Better check his pool, fast !!
if we are still waiting 6 months from now, then I might start to worry. Until then, David can take as much time as he needs!!!

We all remember cyberpunk 2077 right!? Sometimes rushing to meet a deadline can be a bad thing! Just be patient and we will continue to get amazing content!
After all we wouldn’t have Archaelund without David. So we should just let him do what he does best and leave him be.

I’m imagining like 5-10 years from now we will all be looking back on David’s exceptional work and we will realise that being patient allowed him to do such a marvellous job.

Thanks David
Learn to read dude

wanting info is not a bad thing in itself you know, most devs just don't want to spend all time they have on forums and such as they have a game to do.

Just to give you an idea of how things can be delayed. One of the quests in this update occurred to me a couple weeks ago, when I was looking at a new dungeon. I just thought "Wouldn't it be super cool if..." . And I decided to add it, even if that quest has more text and dialogues than half the Urendale area, combined. Possibly longest dialogues I've written so far even counting EK. But there's no way I could release the update without it now that the quest exists in my mind. I am not a crazy perfectionist in terms of graphics, animations or the like, I can make a lot of compromises, but once a quest idea is alive on my mind, if it can't be postponed, then it means I'll add it and delay the update. I understand the frustration this can cause, but there are a few quests I never added to Exiled Kingdoms and can't be added now, and they hurt me even today. I'm a weird guy, what can I say.

David, I think you are great, and so is your modus operandi. Take your time. For me, it's no difference if the complete game is delivered in 2026 or 2027. But is real difference if the game, in a range of coolness, is just "yes" or is "yeah!"

And for me the story is more important than anything. More than graphics and all. EK was great because the story, the lore, the complexity of moral choices. I regret missing quest too... what was the purpose of the guy buying all those emeralds? Mystery!

--> Ehi, what if that guy used emeralds to cheat death and is still alive in Archaelund?
No David, your not a crazy perfectionist. Your just an amazing developer who can put out a better quality game than most AAA studios with a team of only, What was it? 4 people!!!!
