I think that bug tells that if you use an item that inflicts a status on a bug that has a medal to resist that status (using a Danger Shroom on a bug with Poison Resistance, for example), then the status might be prevented by it.
Favorite One is probably better for boss fights than normal enemies. In normal battles, you want to make a sure that your resources last longer, and lowering defense is usually counter-productive for that. In boss fight, you'll probably get a chance to refill your items after the fight, so having to potentially use a few more healing items is worth the extra damage.
Strong Start is probably best on Leif. Another option is to give it to Kabbu along with Prayer, Meditation and Reflection, so that he can get HP and TP recovery as well as a defense increase from the "Do Nothing" command, which doesn't cause exhaustion.
That gives me already something to think about.
I'm also glad that I was right with the fact that it seems Leif has more potential with strong start.
I think so far I only got poison defender then. I'm more or less low on money since I try to get everything I can, recepies, songs, medals and whatever else costs a bit to much.
I would like to get everything before the final boss but Can you get the stuff in some sort of post game too?
