that said, most of the people browsing this forum have already bought the game so the point being made here is moot.
here is a thread on resetera that holds all the necasary links to tweets, publisher responses, and the extremely damning medium article with some molten lava hot receipts.
https://www.resetera.com/threads/dangen-entertainment-allegedly-robbing-indie-devs-update-medium-article-with-more-allegations.154748/
the dev is a ♥♥♥♥. that said, the publisher is incompetent at best. the proof against them outside of the interactions with the single dev you take issue with is astounding.
I remember this happening to a certain game named Ion Fury ( formerly Ion Maiden ) and R. E. ppl complained and made a huge fuss, and ultimately, the devs decided they weren't going to be bullied, and changed nothing.
I refuse to read any drivel spewed out by that toxic development center known as " r. E " im not even typing it out, worse than stage 4 cancer at this rate.
80% untruths and notquitelies and enough bandwagoning, and we got ourselves a witch hunt, folks!

dangen is fine, no game dev I know publishing their titles has ever indicated anythign otherwise.
And I own quite a few dangen published titles. And I know a bunch of devs that have made titles published by them.
The games even do well in advertising, and the discord for dangen is pretty active with a bunhc of super happy, satisfied people.
Not quite sure where the sotry is starting from, nor do I care to indulge it by clicking any link to read it.
leave this garbage out of the dev forums, this has literally nothign to do with dangen at this meidum, the Steam forums are for the devs and the customers. Sometimes publishers make appearances, but it's not always the case.
Regardless, it's off topic.

Read up. Don't worry, there's screencaps too.
Quoting Resetera won't really convince anyone, if anything that's in defavor to your argument.
Anyway, here's a direct quote from Dangen regarding the situation with Bug Fables, if you won't want to sully yourself there:
"There is no question that we made mistakes while working with [the developer of Devil Engine]. We’re not perfect. When mistakes were made, we did our best to rectify the situation.
Soon after the release of Devil Engine, the developer assigned a proxy to receive all revenue they had earned. This was to expedite payment and make sure that they DID NOT receive payment late. Withholding tax when transferring money out of the country is a giant headache, which is why a proxy based in Japan was chosen. We paid the developer’s proxy on July 23rd, well within the rules of the contract we signed. We also supplied evidence to the developer of the payment..
And now they’re attacking one of our other developers, encouraging people to pirate the game instead of buying it. Bug Fables is an incredible game that deserves better. Moonsprout Games has been working for a very long time on the game, and has created something that we’re insanely lucky and proud to be working with. They do not deserve this.
Anyway, if anyone has questions or would like evidence, I do need to ask our counsel what we’re able to make public, as we do have an NDA in place. I hope this clears things up. "

I like how you told me not to quote resetera and then you proceed to quote a post from dangan first posted on resetera
