Have you tried going into the controller settings, you should be able to try out some other presets or build a custom configuration that works for you.
can you set the gamepad so that you can use the right stick for accelerating and braking or is it not possible as with the predecessor?
With no steering adjustments in the config played over four hrs so far would have thought by now I would have some sort of better balanced set up but still can not find anything so far.
I’ve got my XB1 controller almost where I don’t have to fight it at sensitivity -3 and deadzone 5
Thanks i will give that a go , I was led in the directions of Dead zone 0 and sensitivity -10 .
With my XB1 controllers (3x) a deadzone of zero causes drifting at the center - just poor electronics in the controller + usage - adding a little deadzone helps to counter any unwanted drift, -3 sensitivity makes it easier to keep control, as long as you stay light on the stick.
Pure my feel, not claiming expertise. The 0 deadzone -10 sensitivity did not work for me, I may lower sensitivity a couple of notches -5 to see if that allows for a little more push.
Pads do not have the best electronics in them for this sort of game . I can not still find a happy spot tried a lot of tweaks today , getting a better idea of how the menu settings work.
the big issue is the pad sticks you need a less movement in the sticks but their is far to much movement in the stick I find , that leads to poor control .
I have been trying to limit the degrees of movement in my steering stick but so far not found a way.
Hey ,
Thanks, it was tricky creating a custom config with my wheel (105 degree constrained) and gearbox/pedals button layout - only 2 buttons on wheel = multiple attempts to even config menu buttons.
I'm now super happy with TT2 =) after using my old X360CE .dll and .ini files from TT1. Though dialling in anti-deadzone is not the same.
I would like to see a 'Linearity' slider in the settings menu. Though having just reconnected online (crazy times for all) perhaps further settings refining is in order at this end. Also I think one or two settings strings look like an incorrect translation to English.
Thanks to KT for this fantastic effort! Enjoy working on updates now you have a solid game to blossom.
Yes I too would like to see some sort of slider in the settings menu.
Yeap getting the dead zone correct is still ongoing I find its a trade off for fast riding so you do not change direction to fast , but then you get some sort coming in real low speed corners like found on the TT circut. but at least they cured many of the shortcomes found in TT1
I'm suspecting a High sensitivity value with a good linearity value will feel correct (at least on my rotating controller). It would be nice to have all sliders built in, plus a trim for +/- 0.1 to use for example 4.5 sensitivity, 6.1 linearity.
S bends are a real problem something feel out on them hopefully they can tweak that one , but adding more fine tuning would be good.
