How tell the number of turns left in a game?
Is there a way to tell how many turns are left in a game? More than a few times, I've gone to the route deck only to have the game end 3-4 turns afterwards.

The game is not finished based on number of turns, but when any player has 2 or less trains left. Once this happens, each player gets one more turn. You can keep an eye on other player's train counts, and if they have a few number of trains and many train cards to play them with be careful about taking more routes.

Oh wow. That explains why I couldn't find a counter. Thanks for the tip. That will come in handy. :)

Yeah, which is why it's sometimes best to choose more tickets right before you go 2 or less with your trains for some bonus points.

Sometimes. Depends on your routes. If you'd like some more strategy like this, please, check out the guide Leeroy and myself published...

Two options here:
1- You don't have enough physical 'Trains' to play the required route (ie, you want to play a 6 route and though you have 6 cards, you don't have 6 trains left)
or
2- You're trying to claim a double route in a 2-3 player game, which already has one set of trains on it. In 2-3 player games, only one side of a double route can be claimed.

Hope this helps, check out the guide above if you want more information.
