Cross Platform across iOS and PC?

So I looked into previous threads about the cross platform play and haven't gotten a conclusive answer. So what im trying to figure out is with two different accounts, can cross platform work across an iphone and PC? If yes, can i get a step-by-step guide on how to do it?

You can if you play Ticket to Ride's iPad app on your iOS device.

There is a version call Ticket to Ride Pocket. This app cannot play online. It can only play local (LAN or bluetooth) games with other iOS devices.

You probably are using this app, since you have an iPhone. Ticket to Ride's app only runs on iPads.

Hmm, I am at a loss then EricB. I just purchased the $2.99 TTR app, not the $1.99 TTR pocket for my iphone this afternoon. The app seems to run just fine. I can get into all of the menus (although admittedly, I have not attempted to play a solo game), only I cannot sync my account with my steam account or find the current online game running in steam. If we pretend for a moment that I am on an ipad, how would I go about locating a game, or syncing my TTR account with my steam account?
