On the plus side they're all £2 each just now!
Also, note that the friends list in the game is different to steam's and uses your Days of Wonder account name, not your steam name.
I've tried the "Remote play together" but it seems to only "recopy" or broadcast my screen on the other laptop. So, the other play are seeing your cards ... so it's useless.
The other player can shares your mouse and keyboard, but it's not playable for me. But I have no expertience for this game (through this interface), si maybe i'm looking on the wrong side !
Anybody could confirm that "remote play together" is working ? Thx :-)
I did find, however, that the Remote Play option is awesome for couch co-op's like Overcooked.
Thats really bad. I bought it only for this purpuse. I was thinking to invite friends over and play it together where everyone has there own tablet and I use my computer as host. Really bad making a boardgame like this...
I find that to be pretty harsh to call it c*&p and inaccurate to say you cannot play with friends across distances, and I am not sure what developer post you are referring to as a taunt. A developer marked a user's post as being a good answer to the original question, but I do not see any developer post in this thread.
The on-line play works fine for me with Win10. It CAN be a bit confusing to figure out how to invite friends and it should be streamlined, but it DOES work properly, and the game itself plays very well.
How To Set Up An On-Line Game With Friends Using Ticket To Ride on Windows 10:
1. Each person needs to have their own copy of the game installed along with any expansions you plan on using.
2. Each person needs to start up Ticket to Ride and make sure they are signed in with their free Days of Wonder / Asmodee account (button at the top right of the startup screen.)
3. Click "Play" from the middle of the main screen, then select "Online" from the menu.
4. To link your friends as "Buddies" to make it easier to find each other again:
A. Click on "Players" in the upper-right of the screen and search for your friends in the "Find" tab.
B. Click on the name of each of your friends, and the white heart with the question mark in it to make them a "Buddy". Names with green hearts by them are already linked to your account as a buddy.
5. Have all your friends go to Play/Online. They will now appear at the top of your Players/Online tab if they have been linked as Buddies.
(This is probably the step that makes trying to find and invite friends the most troublesome. Even if your friends have the game running and are logged in, you can only see them as "Online" and be able to send them an invite if they have entered the Play/Online area too.)
6. Click the "Create" tab in the center of the screen, and make sure the "Invitation" tag near the top of that page is selected.
7. Click on the names of each friend you want to invite then on the "Invite" tag that appears by their name.
8. Select any game settings you want (game map, total play time per player, starting player or random, if others can watch, if game is ranked, or any of the "Advanced" options).
9. Click the large green "Play" button at the bottom center of the screen and your friends will be sent invitations.
