Split-screen + classic cars = 1 lap advantage to player 2!

What the title says. Player 2 starts ghosted within another car... or from the pit or somewhat rotated on the grid and as soon as P2 goes through the start / finish line, P2 completes the first lap, basically starting from lap 2. It's super annoying! I never tried split-screen or played much with the game before so I can't say it existed or it's something new.
