can anybody tell me why I am getting a black screen with direct 12 or 11 when I launch the game, I can hear it but can not see it

try changing the anti aliasing from your video mode to sharpening TAA and fidelity TX

Hi guys, i had the same issue and after trying several things i found a solution(for me anyway), if your getting a black screen that switches back to desktop...verifying doesn't help, neither does deleting the .exe game file, but what has worked for me.... if you find the game is still open in the background....open task manager and locate the f1 2020 executable and click on the down arrow to unvail the F1 2020(dx12) file....right click on it and select either switch to or bring to front.

While this may work...if you alt/tab out of the game you will find the game is broken again but this method wont work a second time but...if you hover you mouse pointer over the games exe on the task bar and repeatedly left click i=on it it it may reopen again....this has worked sveral times for me.

To be honest....2020 is outdated now, with 2021 out and 2022 out in or around July....Codemasters (EA) want us to spend another £50-60 on another game that is fundamentally the same thing with just a graphic and map mod applied with a few little tweaks to the game engine.

Same here. Game loads normally and before I see me sitting in the car the game crashes to desktop. Maybe an issue with newest NVidia drivers?
