Game constantly crashes

For some reason this game is constantly crashing for me. My first race weekend the game crashed after i completed the race and so i had to restart. Now the game is constantly crashing whenever i try to simulate a race. Really frustrating, is this happening to anyone else?

Yes, suddenly started crashing when I do Time Trial and beat my own record...

Same, two game crashes on Time Trial at Baku, now it won't launch.

yeah me two ... i guess this has to do with a steam achievement when you beat your time and a ghost ... i think it tries to send to steam the achieved achievement, but this crashes the game

just to confirm ... just did a time trial and beat my own time, as well as the rival ... and the game crashed instantly ... seems to really be caused by the steam achievement ...

try DX11, DX12 can cause crashes if you dont have a RTX GPU

It's related to the ghost updating for the "other" players, not your own ghosts. I've beaten my own ghosts with out crashes consistently, it's only when I beat other ghosts that it crashes.

In my case the game actually starts to stutter before the crash. I found out that if I brake and allow the other ghost to get far enough away from me I can prevent it crashing.

It just happened to me, FPS went down and then the game crashed.

I think there's an option to race without ghosts, I'll try again

The lagging/crashing comes from the leaderboard being updated from our clients it seems. I was in another discussion and we all came to the same conclusion after updating our drivers and testing different things.

I completed a lap beating both times and it didn't crash. I turned off other players ghost. I dunno if it actually works but it didn't crash this time.

Sometimes I get this same effect, I have been going through every track in the dry and wet and it seems it NEVER crashes in the wet due to low amount of posted times on the leaderboard. I think it has something to do with chance and the amount of listed times and having to update all their positions after posting a time. It could also just be from a lag/bug with loading the next rival time but either way it's some form of online communication that is causing this issue.

Yeah you're right, I was just lucky the 1st time. The FPS starts to drop when it is updating the leaderboard

it's better to stay away from time trial for the time being and wait for the patch. What a shame, I've spent a lot of time there in f1 2018

I'm getting constant crashing during time trial as well. The other day it would crash at different points around the circuit, seemingly random. Today I'm trying to learn Silverstone and now the game crashes after I do a new best lap, but not always. On my last attempt I was able to set two new lap times without crashing, but on the third it crashed. Seems to be after 5 to 7 minutes.

same here, but my game started crashing later on. after i finished my first season and about to start the first race for the 2nd season i got 4 crash in 15 minutes. R.I.P

Just in single player I get major frame drops from 120-130 to the mid to low 40s. Hell it just got really bad when i got to the Vietnam track. Specs: 2700X, 16GB RAM, 5700.
