Help with tyres!

I'm having a problem with choosing tyres for the race. I am unable to change the tyres I use for stint 1? Is this an issue with the game or an issue with my F1 knowledge 😂

If you qualify in the top 10 then you must use the tyres that you did your fastest qualifying lap on. This is a F1 regulation

This. And if you are using the official 3 stage quali (Q1, Q2, Q3) then you start on the tires you set your fastest lap in Q2. That said in theory you can use a harder tire in Q2 like mediums and if you are able to make it into Q1 then you put on the softest tire and go for it (in Q1).

You should say if you set your fast lap AND get to Q3, then you have to use those tires.

Good point. I presumed it was a given that if you qualify in the top 10 you made it to Q3 :D If you do not get out of Q2 (are not in the top 10) then you are not "locked" into using those tires

I am so far buddy Its a long time since I've played F1. 2012 game since it was properly played so pretty much totally forgot the rules
