Safety cars not coming up

Hi everyone. I have started playing my career. There has been so many accident however, the safety cars is never coming up. Even though it is on. There has been so many crashes and in none of them it worked. Is my career bugged or is it happening to other people as well.

Safety car is appearing for me. I had to manually switch it on in the options.

yep, no safety car for me also. I tripple checked to see if its on, and it is on but no matter what happens in the race, safety car will never come up, its the same as last year, where for a half a year after the game came out, i had zero safety cars until they patched it.
This year in F1 2020 i have had retired cars standing for 1-2 laps in a very dangerous locations, no safety car, i had few quite big AI crashes involving 2-4 cars and also no safety car. So maybe after half a year they will patch it again :D

i have had 2 safety cars in 7 long races in my team. quite a few more virtual safety cars though.

i think you will see them pretty rarely but you will see them, probably depends where the accident is on track and if there is a gap for marshals to reach easily or not, if not i imagine it goes to full SC

I had already 2 safety cars and a couple of VSCs within 3 100%-races.

Last race had a couple VSC and 1 SC that bunched up the pack towards the end of the race after an AI vs AI wreck.

I played 2 50% races so far in MyTeam Mode and I had a safety car in each race lol.

Those two safety cars were pretty much mid/end of the race though. Basically around the times where if you pitted for Medium tyres they'd barely last till the end of the race at that point. That's the best I could describe the timing.

I don`t know man. In one of the race vettel just crashed and his tire came of right in front of me still no SC just yellow flag

Same for me. 9 races, 0 safety cars, just VSC

Driving 50% race, got 2 SC at Melbourne, 4 at Zandvoort, 1 at Monza

I had 4 Safety cars in 4 consecutive races (25%)

Nine 50% races done already in my team mode and no SC or VSC for me. Btw: Does damage have to be ON?

I have reduced damage activated, and none came in 40 runs. Maybe you have to do full damage? Can someone who does a lot of work tell us which damage option is activated?

I have full damage activated and in 7 races got one or two VSCs per race and one real saftey car.

i am not sure if its true, but i think the safety car only comes up if there is DNF because of engine failure etc. But when there are crashes involving more cars, damage etc, then the game cannot recognize it as a problem and safety car will not come out. Because i ve seen crashes and never SC, but whenever there is some DNF of one car alone, safety car pops up
