However the menu and assist options, still confuses people as it is called ERS Assist On/Off, however this year all that does is basically make the game automatically decided when to push and use the overtake button during a lap and take the option away from the player. You really need to make sure ERS Assist is turned off. In game the only time you as a player need to make an adjustment is in Qualifying where in the MFD Menu you'll have an option to put ERS into a Special 'Hot Lap' mode just for doing qualifying, basically the Party Mode that teams like Mercedes and Ferrari have in real life. Other wise there is no ERS options for you to change and it'll always say Auto or Mode 1, so if you want that Overtake Button back in your control turn off the ERS Assist option. It won't effect anything else because the normal deployment and harvesting is auto anyway in F1 2020.
